Brief Description of the Project:
The main objective of GESI Audit is to assess the local level's commitment provisioned in their policies, guidelines and programs to advance gender equality and social inclusion and good practices to mainstream the GESI.
Major outcomes achieved/ Implementation Success
  • Completion of GESI Audit: The GESI audit was completed for 13 local levels, including 10 in Rolpa and 3 in Rukum East.
  • Development of Action Plans: Action plans have been developed to address identified gaps and weaknesses.
  • Report Approval and Publication: The GESI audit report has been prepared, approved by the local government, and uploaded to their website.
  • Commitment to GESI Implementation: The local government has committed to prioritizing GESI in all areas of its work.
  • Monitoring and Institutionalization: All programs, plans, and projects of the local government will be monitored and evaluated from a GESI perspective, with efforts to institutionalize these practices.
