Brief Description of the Project:
This program was implemented with a focus on identifying child laborers working in brick kiln industries in Kathmandu or other parts of the country and facilitating their reintegration into their communities. The program provided various reintegration packages tailored to the children's specific needs. These packages primarily included school enrollment, income generation support for their families, and health and nutrition services, all aimed at ensuring the successful reintegration of the children into their homes, schools, and society.
Major outcomes achieved/ Implementation Success:
  • Identification and Repatriation: The program identified 11 children working as laborers in Kathmandu and facilitated their return to their homes.
  • Educational Support: Support was provided to enroll these children in school, ensuring they could continue their education.
  • Income Generation Assistance: Families of the children received income generation support to ensure a stable income, helping to sustain the children’s education.
  • Health Assessments: A health checkup program was conducted for these children to assess their health status.
